Appraisals
Piano appraisal services are generally needed for three reasons.
One of those is to establish a reasonable and fair sale price for
the selling of a piano; another is to set a value of the instrument
for an estate; or perhaps to list it as contents in the home for
insurance.
To appraise for a sale, is fairly simple. A service call and a
few minutes to check the condition of your piano is usually all
that is required to meet this need.
Appraisal for legal purposes perhaps for an estate,
or for insurance purposes, is a little more involved as it can
require some office time spent in researching comparable pianos
in the market place, and probably a letter written after the service
call for authentication of the appraisal. This is a little more
costly than just a service call as it can take several hours to
prepare.
